One of the most instantly recognisable styles of kitchen and a timeless design which is at home in a country cottage or prestigious modern home alike. Characterised by its unadorned, simple style, lack of elaborate mouldings and fussy decoration.

The Shaker kitchen offers effortless style that will impress for years to come.

Steeped in history: the Shakers were a religious group who believed in quality craftsmanship and simplicity of style – and traditionally they painted their kitchens in blues, greens, reds and yellows.

Today, this classic kitchen can be either free standing or fitted: made of real wood – painted or natural, as well as more recently MDF. MDF has risen in popularity, not necessarily because it is more cost effective or easier to manufacture – it tends to be a more practical product that withstands the pressures of the kitchen environment as well as giving the very desirable ‘flat finish’ when painted.

Most painted and natural finishes can be changed to suit a buyer’s taste, so, especially when considering a Used Kitchen, a shaker style makes the ideal ‘regeneration’ project.
